Roma 2020 + Coronavirus

Travel to and from Italy has become too challenging to maintain the EMEA Regional Meeting during the original dates, so we have decided to postpone the meeting until September 3-6, 2020.

If you have already registered:

• Your registration is still valid for the new dates, and we look forward to welcoming you to Rome in the fall!
• If you reserved a hotel room at one of our host hotels, your reservation will be transferred to the new dates (respectively). Your hotel will send you an updated confirmation number for your reservation.

If you wish to cancel your registration

• If you are unable to join us for the new meeting dates, you may cancel your registration for a full refund. *As we sort through this situation, we kindly ask for your patience in receiving your refund.

If you wish to cancel your hotel reservation

• You may cancel your room reservation with no penalty by contacting the hotel directly.

As of yesterday, the number of positive cases recorded in Rome was 44.

Nevertheless, restaurants are practically empty, tour guides are idle, and hotels are running at less than 10% occupancy after unprecedented cancellations. Government officials are calling for Romans to get out of the house and live freely, frequent restaurants and visit the city’s treasures (while practicing prudent cleanliness precautions).

We feel Now More Than Ever it’s important to get the global Hotelie community together in solidarity with our Roman colleagues this fall. We’re charged to make this meeting even bigger and better. If you haven’t registered yet, register now.
